Overall Purpose of Job;
Generally, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring the IT Infrastructure and Systems of TICTS are up running to cater for 24/7 port operations. To achieve stable and smooth IT operations, candidate will be able to set the IT operations standard and processes, lead a team of IT personnel, monitor, update and maintain the IT Infrastructure, coordinate and sustain TICTS end-to-end IT system applications operations, execute all prioritized. approved change initiatives including group technology system enhancements. upgrades or replacements and other projects such as IT Infrastructure streamlining and Cloud. Also he/she should understand overall business dynamics and provide optimal IT service delivery across the organization by ensuring effective and efficient end-to-end delivery of IT systems.

Specifically the candidate will oversee the execution of all IT related projects, programs and initiatives managed by the business and ensure that all key milestones are reported and risk rated and that outstanding issues or target dates exceeded are appropriately dealt with and escalated to division when required. To align business and technology standardization strategy for TICTS to drive the implementation of requirements stipulated in the strategy and business needs through facilitating collaborative sessions between business and group IT. Plan the Technology resource requirements for the business unit (including people, Capex, Opex, Systems and Strategic Investment), negotiate and secure its allocation to the business unit and ensure delivery based on the promised business results. Ensure for all new project and system change requests, that a thorough risk assessment is conducted to determine the interdependencies between projects and the impact proposed changes may have on seemingly unrelated processes and systems. Review recommendations prepared by the team on how to address these and determine whether the risk and mitigation is adequate and advise management and division IT head accordingly

Qualification and skills level
This occupation has a level of education and skills to enable the candidate to perform assigned tasks in accordance with TICTS working standards. The following are the minimum requirements.

1. Data Manager - Dar es Salaam

Generally responsible for database design and management; data collection and quality assurance; technical assistance and staff development as well as reporting and analysis. Specifically will be charged with the establishment and administering the computer-based data management system to perform at the standards required for the project, and that the meat project needs and requirements. Will be developing reporting forms on project outputs, outcomes and data visualization system. Also, providing support in ensuring effective data collection, verification, analysis and reporting of project data from research and evaluation activities, including formative research, baseline research, and ongoing sentinel surveys by developing different electronic forms that can be uploaded in the system automatically

Requirements
  • MS/MA in computer science, Health informatics, biostatistics, public health, mathematics or a related field and 3-5 years relevant experience; ORBS/MA in similar field with 5-7 years relevant experience
  • At least 4 years experience in establishing and supporting database for development health project preferably behavior change focused public health projects
  • Computer proficiency in word processing, databases, spreadsheets, including advanced skills in at least two of the following computer programming languages: SQL, Java, Javascript, C#, C++, Python, PHP
  • Expertise in use of at least one quantitative or qualitative data analysis software package (i.e R, SAS, Stata, NVivo, Atlas T.I)

Requirements:
  • MS/MA with 5-7 years experience in public health demography, statistics, social sciences or BS/MBA with 7-9 years in similar field.

  • Training in research methodology preferably of qualitative research
  • Research experience in social behavior change and communication in health-related areas like HIV/AIDS, Malaria, TB, MNCH and family planning prevention

POSITION OBJECTIVE

14. Conduct field training /on job trainings to TPB beneficiaries and stake holders
15. Ensure groups opened accounts with TPB bank have access to TPB mobile platform and train how to use it
16. Facilitate VSLA methodology to new identified groups and supervise local
17. Develop monthly /weekly plans and oversee their implementation
18. Facilitate periodic local trainers and community meetings
19. Ensure local trainers submit timely, complete and accurate reports.

The Opportunity:
  • As Emergency Response Manager, you will be responsible for the quality and effectiveness of Plan International's emergency response, recovery and rehabilitation program.
  • You will be responsible for a team of 84 national staff, based in Kibondo working in two refugee camps.
  • In addition you will provide strategic leadership in all areas of emergency programming and strengthen the overall capacity to be prepared and respond to emergencies in accordance with accepted principles and practices, as well as strategically integrate emergency programming within the overall program approach.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Oversee the management of specific emergency programmes, ensuring response activities are in line with donor compliance and Plan International’s standard policies and procedures.
  • Represent Plan International with the host Government, both at national and regional level, highlighting key issues of concern impacting on children and in particular on girls.
  • Ensure robust financial management system are in place across the field offices.

The PMTCT/EID Advisor is a self-motivated individual who will be responsible for providing oversight to PMTCT/EID programs activities with the different partners including the project sites. His/her main objective is to provide the technical performance of the USAID BORESHA AFYA Southern Zone supported PMTCT/EID in the respective region. She/he will responsible to the Regional Technical Manager and will work in close collaboration with the relevant regional and district level health management teams and other USAID BORESHA AFYA Southern Zone regional team members.

Duties:

Responsible for ensuring that USAID BORESHA AFYA Southern Zone supported sites meet national standard for PMTCT-Option B+/EID, and maternal health improvement initiatives through implementation of different planned activities.
Ensures that project supported sites implement integrated and comprehensive package of PMTCT-Option B+/EID services at all levels through various activities.

Support the capacity building activities through the following: -
  • Conduct various trainings related to maternal and child health improving initiatives including PMTCT and EID services
  • Collaborate with R/CHMTs to identify training needs for sites, districts and regional personnel and organize trainings for site level staff using currently recommended national curriculums
  • Collaborate with regional and district CHMT to develop a mentorship program for facility staff work in CTC, RCHs clinics and OPD/IPD departments
  • Work with R/CHMT to ensure that supported facilities implement integrated and comprehensive package of PMTCT/EID services at all levels through: 
  • Participation in supportive supervision with regional and district teams

The PED HIV Advisor main objective will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day implementation USAID Boresha Afya Southern Zone supported PEDIATRIC HIV program in the respective region and lead implementation and reporting of project activities, outputs and outcomes. She/he will coordinate effective engagement of key stakeholders at his/ her region in the implementation of project activities, including regional and council health management teams (R/CHMTs), community-based service providers and direct project beneficiaries’/peer clients and other USAID Boresha Afya Southern Zone regional team members.

Duties:
  • The PEDIATRIC HIV Advisor is responsible for ensuring that supported sites meet national standard for PEDIATRIC HIV, through implementation of different planned activities. 
  • Ensures that supported sites implement integrated and comprehensive package of PEDIATRIC HIV services at all levels through various activities and support PEPFAR Accelerating Children Initiative.
  • Facilitate implementation of PITC for children in OPD, Pediatric Wards and RCH clinics 
  • Advocate for and assist in the implementation of child centered services at all supported health care facilities.

Iko hivi City kama bingwa anapewa £39.8m kutoka Epl, lakini pia kuna hii pesa ambayo kila timu wanapewa kiasi sawa(equal share) ambapo huwa ni £82m, pia kuna pesa kutokana na idadi ya mechi zako zilizooneshwa live(haki kutoka Epl) na hii walitakiwa kulipwa £31.5m, jumla ya pesa zote hizi ni £153.2m.

Suala hili lipo pia kwa mshindi wa 3 na wa 4, Tottenham amemaliza ligi katika nafasi ya 3 lakini jumla ya pesa ambayo wamevuna ni kiasi cha £148.1m, hii ni pesa ndogo kuliko ambayo Liverpool ambao wamemaliza ligi katika nafasi ya 4 wamevuna, Liverpool wamepata £149.6m na hii ni kutokana na mechi zilizoenda live.

Mechi 7 Bila Ushindi Yanga imepotea Wapi!!


Yanga imecheza mechi saba bila ushindi katika mashindano yote inayoshiriki (ligi kuu Tanzania bara na Caf Confederation Cup).

Mechi sita ambazo Yanga haijashinda ni Wolaitta Dicha 1-0 Yanga, Mbeya City 1-1 Yanga, Yanga 1-1 Singida, Simba 1-0 Yanga, USM Alger 4-0 Yanga, Tanzania Prisons 2-0 Yanga na Mtibwa Sugar 1-0 Yanga.

Juzi Jumapili Mei 13, 2018 Yanga ilikuwa ugenini ikicheza na Mtibwa Sugar kwenye uwanja wa Jamhuri Morogoro ambapo wamepoteza mchezo huo kwa kufugwa goli 1-0.

Baada ya kufungwa 2-0 na Tanzania Prisons kwenye mechi iliyopita, Yanga imepoteza mchezo wa pili mfululizo kufuatia kipigo hicho.

Hadi sasa Yanga imepoteza mechi nne za ligi baada ya kucheza mechi 26 huku ikiwa na mechi mbili mkononi (viporo). Mechi zote ambazo Yanga imepoteza ilicheza ugenini (Mbao 2-0 Yanga, Simba 1-0 Yanga, Tanzania Prisons 2-0, Mtibwa Sugar 1-0 Yanga).

Imepoteza mechi tatu mfululizo kati ya nne, Simba 1-0 Yanga, Tanzania Prisons 2-0 Yanga, Mtibwa Sugar 1-0 Yanga. Katika mechi hizo, Yanga haijafanikiwa kufunga goli hata moja.

II. Organizational Context and Scope

Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission, and direct supervision of the Resource Management Officer in Dar Es Salaam, the Admin/Finance Assistant is responsible for providing daily financial and administrative assistance, in particular he/she will be responsible for:


III. Responsibilities and Accountabilities


1. Verify invoices and documents submitted by suppliers and service providers;

2. Ensure all supporting documentation and signatures are obtained before finalizing vouchers.

3. After obtaining appropriate approvals, effect payments to suppliers and staff members;

4. Ensure all payments are paid on a timely manner;

5. Responsible for the preparation of monthly accounting reports and the attachment of supporting documents for the review and certification by RMO;

6. Reconcile on a monthly basis all pending vendor accounts;

7. Ensure that the bank reconciliation of the various bank accounts and IOM accounts and databases is done in time and accurately;

8. According to the projectization process of IOM, distribute the office costs and verify staff costs;

9. Ensure files of all financial instructions/guidelines issued are maintained and appropriate internal controls are in place;

10. Assist with the maintenance of an effective banking system including preparing a monthly bank reconciliation;

11. Maintain a filing system for vouchers and all other financial documentation;

12. Maintain the Petty Cash account of the Dar es Salaam Office in the absence of Finance Assistant;

13. Provide Daily Assistance to supervisor in ensuring proper internal controls of finance are in place.

14. Liaise with IOM Tanzania staff in the Sub Office and main offices in daily execution of the payments and increasing of efficiency of program implementation;

15. Coordinate all accounting issues with other colleagues in the Finance Dept.

16. Prepare monthly funding requests for the office.

17. Bring to the attention of the RMO any relevant financial and budgetary issues.

18. Suggest improvements to internal controls and streamlining/efficiencies;

19. Provide guidance and training to new junior staff;

20. Perform such other duties as may be assigned

Under the overall supervision of Head of Sub office and Resource Management Officer in Dar Es Salaam Main office, and direct supervision of the Resource Management Officer in Kigoma, the Admin/Finance Assistant is responsible for providing daily financial and administrative assistance, in particular he/she will be responsible for:


III. Responsibilities and Accountabilities 

1. Prepare the imprest report for Kigoma Sub office and ensure all supporting documentation and signatures are complete before sending to Dar es Salaam.

2. Plan daily petty cash and ensure the safe custody of all cash at hand. On daily basis submit a petty cash replenishment request to the HSO

3. Count cash float daily, ensuring that the amount on hand coincides with accounting spread sheets.

4. Maintain a filing system and ensure that paid vouchers are filed in the order in which they are entered to cashbook.

5. Verify invoices and prepare all cash and cheque payments for utilities, office equipment and supplies, printing, and other contracts, services or running expenses. Ensure that all cash and the necessary supporting documents are provided before payment is made.

6. Submit funding requests to IOM mission office in Dar es Salaam and ensure that sufficient funds are available locally and issue official IOM receipts for all collection made by the Sub Office.

7. Checking and ensuring that all TA’s and expense claims are duly completed and all supporting documents are attached prior to dispatch to Mission office Dar es Salaam for computation and reimbursement.

8. Review Sub Office internal controls and notify the HSO and RMO of any potential weaknesses and propose corrective action required and prepare estimated cost for the budget preparation purpose.

9. Keep and update an inventory list and tracking system of all IOM assets in Kigoma and set up/streamline procedures to manage and safeguard all IOM assets/supplies in Kigoma. Assist in disposal of assets according to IOM procedures

10. Take part in all procurement activities, in line with needs of the IOM office in Kigoma and according to the IOM procurement policy. Set up and implement appropriate mechanisms to avoid fraud and ensure transparency. Apply for and follow up all duty/VAT exemption applications for procured goods/services.

11. Maintain personal files for staff members and make sure they are updated regularly, contracts for staff members are valid and issued on time, attendance records are updated, leave request submitted by the staff members properly registered in the excel spread sheet.

12. Oversee the service providers for general cleanliness of the office premises, security, and also monitor the maintenance of the office building, utilities and communication.

13. Provide introduction to newly recruited national staff on entitlements and benefits as well as administrative procedures on other HR issues.

14. Perform other duties as may be required by supervisor.
