JOB DESCRIPTION
  • As a Monitoring and Evaluation officer you are expected to support in monitoring and evaluating ongoing project work of children living and working in the streets
  • You will be responsible for overall M&E and learning needs of the project and will come up with findings based on real data to show performance of the projects
  • You will also help in strengthening M&E functions based on experiences from the project
  • Monitoring and Evaluation officer will report directly to the Project Coordinator

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Ensure that data is accurately, completely and timely documented for all service areas
  • Lead in application of new data collection tools and revision of existing ones
  • Support in conducting regular trainings on data capture tools
  • Ensure that the database is up to date
  • Develop project monitoring plan of the projects in line with project work plans and consulting with project coordinator
  • Coordinate with project workers for collecting data against agreed indicators
  • Engage with project workers to collect and manage essential data of their respective project activities
  • Ensure quality of data collected by staff
  • Design the framework for the physical and process monitoring of programme activities
  • Undertake regular visits to the fields to support implementation of monitoring
  • Evaluation, check the quality of data produced, and to identify where adaptations might be needed

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
  •   Degree in Monitoring and Evaluation or Project Management Skills and Experience:
  •   The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience in project monitoring and evaluation
  •   Proficient with MS office
  •   Work experience supporting technical or programmatic activities in orphans and vulnerable children specifically children living and working in the streets
  •   Excellent written, oral and presentation skills in English and Kiswahili
  •   Ability to work effectively with multiple teams, partner agencies and community members
