JOB DESCRIPTION
- As a Monitoring and Evaluation officer you are expected to support in monitoring and evaluating ongoing project work of children living and working in the streets
- You will be responsible for overall M&E and learning needs of the project and will come up with findings based on real data to show performance of the projects
- You will also help in strengthening M&E functions based on experiences from the project
- Monitoring and Evaluation officer will report directly to the Project Coordinator
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that data is accurately, completely and timely documented for all service areas
- Lead in application of new data collection tools and revision of existing ones
- Support in conducting regular trainings on data capture tools
- Ensure that the database is up to date
- Develop project monitoring plan of the projects in line with project work plans and consulting with project coordinator
- Coordinate with project workers for collecting data against agreed indicators
- Engage with project workers to collect and manage essential data of their respective project activities
- Ensure quality of data collected by staff
- Design the framework for the physical and process monitoring of programme activities
- Undertake regular visits to the fields to support implementation of monitoring
- Evaluation, check the quality of data produced, and to identify where adaptations might be needed
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- Degree in Monitoring and Evaluation or Project Management Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience in project monitoring and evaluation
- Proficient with MS office
- Work experience supporting technical or programmatic activities in orphans and vulnerable children specifically children living and working in the streets
- Excellent written, oral and presentation skills in English and Kiswahili
- Ability to work effectively with multiple teams, partner agencies and community members
